Probating A Will In Alberta In Alberta, If A Will Has Not Been Filed Within A Year Of The Person's Death, What Happens To The Will?

In Alberta, if a will has not been filed within a year of the person's death, what happens to the will? - probating a will in alberta

My stepmother died in October 2007 and left a will that money to spread their grandchildren and children in the sale of the house that my husband inherited from surviorship law (his name on the title with her, and when she died, her house). The exector of choice has always been missing in an oil field for week at a time and not in a position to make a clear answer to his question whether the will get filed what was going to legalize a will. Consider the judgments of the courts in Alberta, and there is no trace of the will. What happens with the will and can always sell the house? We are in the time that I, 6 Months pregnant with my second child and the house is not big enough for our growing family soon.
Please respond, citing sources of the test.
