Mac Mini Not Recognizing Usb HELP! Import Video From Mini DV Camcorder To Mac To Use In Imovie?

HELP! Import video from mini DV camcorder to mac to use in Imovie? - mac mini not recognizing usb

Camera: Samsung VP-D365 Mini DV

I read online, I need a FireWire cable. I borrowed a from a friend, but can not the port / plug-in for no real camcorder FireWire? Reading online, I found that it is compatible with FireWire.

I have tried using a USB cable to transfer the film to see again, but not to import the camera or something. (Even if the Mac does not recognize the new hardware and attempts to data from GarageBand scan).

I try to do a music video project in the class. We have not seen the video, the only problem is always the computer edit, and really, together with iMovie.

any help? Needed ASAP!

In general, there is a port on the front / bottom or side to the front for access, you must open the shutters. Make sure that the FireWire looks like this: http://fasteasycomputerrepair.com/images ... with the short side of the connection to the camera.
